Affiliate disclosure

Last updated: 29 May 2026.

Selfhostr is funded by affiliate links. This page explains exactly which links are affiliated, how we are paid, and how we disclose them.

Amazon — active program

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

On our hardware guides, the "View price" / "View on Amazon" buttons link to Amazon via our partner tag selfhostr-21. If you buy after clicking, Amazon pays us a small commission — at no extra cost to you, exactly the same price as usual.

We do not display copied product images. A price quoted in an article may be wrong or outdated: current price and availability show on the Amazon listing.

Other programs

We are applying to other affiliate programs (hosts and software: Hostinger, Kinsta, plus networks such as Awin and Impact). A tracked link is only added once the corresponding program has actually approved us. While a program is under review, links to that service stay plain direct links, with no tracking or commission.

How we decide what we recommend

No partner pays to appear in our comparisons or to be ranked higher. We never adjust a ranking to favour a better-paying partner.

Non-affiliate links

When we link to an open-source project or official software documentation (Ollama, llama.cpp, Proxmox, etc.), those are plain direct links, with no tracking or commission.

What we never do

Regulatory compliance

A disclosure reminder also appears above the affiliate links in each relevant article.
